3rd International Summer School on Multifunctional Smart Coatings and Surfaces - registration open!

The Surface Engineering and Corrosion Protection (SECOP) group of University of Aveiro is launching the “3rd International Summer School on Multifunctional Smart Coatings and Surfaces”, that will be held on July 16-20, 2018 in Aveiro, Portugal.

The main scope is preparation and advanced characterization of multifunctional surfaces with a special focus on active protective coatings and self-healing layers. The basic strategies and recent trends in design of functional surfaces via application of “smart” nanotechnologies will be addressed. Special focus will be also given to localized electrochemical techniques for understanding processes in confined defects as well as to analytical methods for analysis of interfaces.

This event will include lectures by recognized specialists in relevant topics as well as practical lab classes using different advanced techniques. The targeted audience is post-graduate students and Post-Docs in early-stage career. The registration deadline is June 15 and the course is limited to a maximum of 20 participants.
